Why You Should Be A Leader That Leads From Your Soul: A Soul Inspired Leadership Perspective

We have so much going on with our jobs, our friends, our families, and our social media contacts, we’re constantly distracted. When this happens, the only thing we can think about is the thing we’re trying to ignore. We can’t think about anything else, until that thing goes away.
For leaders who lead from the soul, this is no big deal.
They thrive in chaos. When it comes to leading, they know that the best way to get the best out of people is to get the best out of themselves. They don’t wait for others to step up and take charge. They lead from their soul, which means they lead from their core. Being a leader that leads from your soul means being a wholehearted leader.

What is a Soul Inspired Leader
A soul inspired leader is one who leads from their soul. They are not only open to, but actively searching for, the opportunity to lead. To put it another way, they don’t wait for people to ask them to lead. They don’t wait for the situation to be right. They lead because they are ready to lead, not because they have no choice.

Soul inspired leaders are proactive. They don’t wait for others to step up and take charge. They step up and take charge because they are ready to lead. Soul inspired leaders are not only sure of themselves, but they are sure of others. They trust others are ready to step up and contribute to the best of their abilities.

Soul inspired leaders are patient. They know that sometimes people are not ready to step up and take charge. They don’t get frustrated because of this. They recognize that people are going through a process of self-discovery. This takes time. They don’t try to force the pace. They trust that the universe has a plan, and that this plan includes them, playing a crucial role.

Soul inspired leaders are committed. They are not only ready to lead, but they are committed to leading. They are not perfect. They make mistakes. They have impure thoughts. They have unkind words. They have days when they are not happy with themselves. This is normal. It happens.

Soul inspired leaders are accountable. They are committed to getting better. They recognize that, to get better, they must first be committed to examining their behaviour, and then taking action to change.

Why You Should Be A Soul Inspired Leader

There are many reasons you should be a soul inspired leader.

Let’s start with the obvious one. You should be a soul inspired leader because it is a beautiful thing to be. The universe has a way of balancing things out, so that if you feel like you’re being pushed too far in one direction, it will come to the rescue with a force that brings you back to center. Having a heart that is open and willing to lead from the inside out is a beautiful thing.

It doesn’t matter what type of leader you are, or if you have a particular title. You are a leader when you have a heart that is open and willing to lead, you can lead from the inside out. You don’t have to fake it or wait for others to tell you that you are doing it right. You are leading from the inside out, and it feels amazing.

How To Be A Soul Inspired Leader

There are three main ways to lead from your soul. You can lead from the expertise, from the example, or from the heart. Let’s look at them one by one.

1. Leading from the expertise:
If you’re a leader that leads from expertise, you probably have a great deal of knowledge to share. Whatever your specialty, it is an area where you have a great deal of knowledge and experience. Relying only on this as your primary source of leadership restricts your growth. You miss out on so much by keeping your leadership strictly confined to your own knowledge experience. There is so much more to know. So much more to experience. When you feel like you’re running out of things to say, or ideas to share, dig a little deeper. You might be surprised at what you discover.

2. Leading by example:
When you lead from the example, you are trying to show others what you embody. You are showing them what it looks like when you are being soul inspired. You are setting an example for them to follow. You might set an example of excellence, or you might set an example of humility. No matter what you are showing the world, you are setting an example for others to follow.

3. Leading from the soul
When you lead from your soul you connect with your intuition and your inner-voice. Your feelings that you trust are leading you in the right direction.
Leading from your soul is a beautiful thing. It helps you lead from inside out. From your heart and not your head. You don’t have to fake it or wait for others to tell you that you are doing it right. It feels amazing!
